Fun facts: I have an identical twin sister Mia. We were adopted from Vietnam by my parents Jenny and Conor, grew up in Raleigh, NC and moved to California for my Dad's work. I miss my family and friends in NC but I love San Diego! My dad, Conor, grew up in Ireland and Canada. My mom, Jenny, is from Connecticut. We have friends and family all over the country and all over the world!

I first started playing field hockey when I was in 5th grade with Carolina All Stars. However, once I moved to California and started training in middle school and with the USAFH Futures program, that is when I really discovered the joy of hockey. My favorite skill to execute in hockey is a reverse hit or chip. My favorite play is distributing out from the back into the passing lanes. I understand I need 3-5 plays in my vision and decision making to distribute out to the midfielders! I work hard at these skills. I like having a big toolbox of forward skills so I can defend against them.

When we moved to California we decided to learn to surf! I LOVE it! I'm still learning and am on the Canyon Hills Surf team with some of my field hockey teammates!

The reasons I play field hockey: I love meeting people from all over the country and making new friends. I love competing and my coaches challenging me. Working hard to achieve the goals my coaches and myself have set for me keeps me motivated. My Mom told me that NHL player Andrei Svechnikov, of the Carolina Hurricanes my favorite NHL team, described his favorite thing about playing in the NHL: that it's "hard fun", that's the best way to sum up how I feel about field hockey, "Hard FUN"!

Other sports I've tried: Dance, Gymnastics, Golf, Tennis, Soccer, Fencing, Track and Field, Swimming, Surfing. I love playing lacrosse with the boys at school during lunch! And would love to try volleyball even though I’m only 5’0!

Hobbies: Cooking, Video Games, Reading, Surf Team, Writing, Eating ice cream and currently Hershey chocolate, Carolina Hurricanes on the tv with both my parents, NCAA Field Hockey with my Mom every Friday and Sunday during season and watching Premier League Soccer with my dad! (I am a die-hard Liverpool fan)

Volunteering: Tierrasanta Kindness Crew, 7 of my Canyon Hills HS field hockey team friends and I do fundraisers to earn money to provide fun crafts to a 3rd grade classroom of 50 kids!

I also volunteer with my club’s middle school program. I love working with the younger kids! I remember when I was a middle schooler learning to play and how much I looked up to the high schoolers!

I also participate in the Canyon Hills Unicef Club.
